What is a card processing provider and why are you converting to a new one?

A card processing provider is the system UMB uses to support various cardholder requests and processes. This includes authorizing and processing card transactions, monitoring fraud, and hosting data to service your accounts.

Converting to a new card processing systems allows UMB to continue to support the ways in which customers use their cards now, while adding updated features and laying the right technology foundation for new capabilities in the future. This is a planned system update, part of our long-term information technology strategy.
When is this conversion happening?

The UMB card processor conversion takes place over the weekend of April 26th. UMB will continue to provide you with helpful information in the weeks leading up to the conversion.
Do I need to do anything before this conversion?

Please make sure your address, email and phone number are correct for your UMB Healthcare Savings Account (HSA). To check, log in to your HSA then select the "Profile" option at the top of the web page. You can also register for an online account if you don’t have one. But generally, there is nothing else you need to do before conversion.
Do I need to get a new card?

No, you will not receive a new UMB card because of this system update. Please continue using your existing card for transactions as you normally would.
What if I encounter issue using my card?

If you have any difficulties using your HSA debit card during the systems upgrade, you may pay via another method then conveniently reimburse yourself through our Healthcare Portal. It’s easy, fast and at no cost to you.
Do I need to do anything after this conversion?

No, enhancements and new features such as Fraud Activity Alerts will be automatically available to you after conversion.
